Yacht Charters in Menorca
A whole UNESCO biosphere of white-sand calas backed by pine, one of the deepest natural harbours in the world at Mahón, and none of the crowds. Menorca is the Balearic the boats keep to themselves.
Menorca is the Balearics with the volume turned down. A UNESCO biosphere reserve, it swapped high-rise tourism for protected coast decades ago, and the result is a shoreline of white-sand calas — Cala Macarella, Cala Turqueta, Cala en Turqueta — backed by pine and reached, on the wild south coast, only from the water or a long walk. Anchor off one at dawn and it is yours until the beach-walkers arrive.
The two ends of the island frame it: Mahón in the east, a British-Georgian port set in one of the deepest natural harbours on earth, and Ciutadella in the west, a honey-stone Catalan old town around a slot of a harbour. Between them the north coast turns red and rugged, the south stays pale and gentle. Menorca is the shortest sailing distances and the biggest sense of space in the Balearics.

Where do Menorca charters start?
Mahón (the main harbour, near Menorca airport MAH) and Ciutadella are the bases. Menorca also pairs naturally with Mallorca — the passage between them is a comfortable half-day sail.
When is the best season?
May, June, September and October are lovely and quiet. July–August are warm and busier but Menorca never gets the crush of Ibiza — its protected calas stay comparatively serene. Note the north coast is exposed to the tramontana wind; your captain picks the sheltered side.
Is Menorca better than Mallorca or Ibiza?
Different. Menorca is the quiet, natural one — best if you want white-sand calas and calm over nightlife or a big marina scene. Many charterers do Menorca and Mallorca together for the contrast.
Is it good for families?
Ideal — the calas are shallow, sandy and sheltered, distances are short, and it's the calmest, least crowded of the Balearics. A crewed catamaran makes it effortless.
